Easy Cell Phone Monitoring

An insider's look at cell phone monitoring software…

Comparing the Iphone vs Blackberry

Today I’m going down a slightly different path and wanted to talk about a recent switch I made from the Blackberry to an Iphone.  I had used a number of different Blackberrys (ies?) for years, but after my fiance decided to make the switch, I decided to join her.

Now I must admit that I was a BIG Blackberry supporter and pushed back against the Iphone for years.  I would argue with friends that had the Iphone about how the Blackberry was better because of the keyboard and BBM.

Then last year I couldn’t help but read all the stories about the plummeting RIM stock price and see all the cool apps that were becoming available on the Iphone.  How come I couldn’t get them!?!?!

And when there was a two week period where my emails weren’t coming through properly, I finally started thinking to myself that perhaps I had to accept that fact that the Blackberry was an inferior product.  Yes, I still like the keypad and BBM, but the inconsistent service and inferior technology was getting to me.

So two months ago I took the plunge and got the Iphone. And I’m now wondering why the heck I didn’t do it sooner!

It is SO much better than my old Blackberry (I had the Torch).  It’s faster, has a much better web browsing experience, a much better camera etc.  And the apps are fantastic – they aren’t just “toys”, but incredibly useful tools that I frequently use.

And of course I also use some toys along the way :)   I have downloaded a few games and I’m amazed by how good they are for a game you play on your phone.

The debate of the Iphone vs Blackberry is over for me – the Iphone wins hands down.  RIM has got to step up their game.  Apparently they are releasing a new operating system later this year that is supposed to make it “better”, but in the past these updates haven’t come close to the competition.  I still cheer for RIM to be honest, but I don’t have confidence that it will be a meaningful release.

What does everyone else think?  Any converted RIM users or vice versa?
